A snap to set up. I just purchased a plasma TV and a 7.1 home theater system. In a matter of minutes I installed my new equipment settings on the Smart Remote right in my living room. And any new equipment codes get beamed to the remote – like that Blu-ray DVD player I plan on buying.

It’s my companion. I have one remote in my condo and I carry it with me from living room to bedroom. I check out the weather and other news while I watch TV. It’s almost like having a second laptop.

Marriage bliss. I like to surf the TV listings on the remote and it doesn’t interfere with the TV screen when my wife watches her favorite show. And my personalized TV guide is set up for me – all sports and HDTV channels. It certainly makes each of us happy.

I love new gadgets. To me new technology is cool, but my kids and wife use the remote and it had to be simple to operate. Our family loves to watch reality TV. We use the remote to text vote when we are watching instead of my cellphone which is never near the TV.

We are unwired. Our home has WiFi and I always used my laptop when I watch TV. The tvCompass Digital Media Remote works better than my laptop – it tunes the TV, I get to surf the electronic program guide and check out new stories just like on my Blackberry.

My favorite TV shows are on Disney and Cartoon Network. After my homework is done, I use the remote to check out when all my favorite shows will come on next.

I’m a sports nut. Being in a fantasy football league, I find the live feeds and alerts sent to me during a football game the perfect way to keep me informed. I don’t have to run back to my PC during breaks in the game to check out the stats.
