The software application for universal remote control is designed for both traditional home theater equipment using standard IR commands (TVs, DVRs, Set Tops), and includes a UPnP/DLNA controller for IP based digital media devices (e.g. whole home audio). The patented application utilizes a proprietary wireless device code provisioning solution to maintain its device code database; products utilizing this application do not require the use of a USB cable or a PC to configure or provisioning remote settings for devices.
